Character Value: Self-Awareness 

Lesson 1 - Listening - In this lesson, students will learn the importance of active listening and the focus that it requires.  

Lesson 2 - Fairness - In this lesson, students will learn the importance of rules, the meaning of fairness, and the difference between needs and wants.  

Lesson 3 - Coping Skills - In this lesson, students will develop a deeper awareness of their emotions and how to manage them, as well as an understanding that some emotions are easier to handle than others.  

Lesson 4 - Self Control - In this lesson, students will learn the meaning of self-control and how developing self-control shows responsibility and independence and makes it easier to resist temptation.

Lesson 5 - Cooperation - In this lesson, students will learn how to interact and work cooperatively in teams in order to achieve a common goal. Students will learn that good communication is essential when working with a team.  

Lesson 6 - Resolving Conflict - In this lesson, students will learn the skills needed to resolve conflicts and will come to understand that conflict resolution requires an open mind that listens to all parties involved.  

Lesson 7 - Respect - In this lesson, students will learn the meaning of respect and the importance of respecting others. Students will be presented with actions that they will have to label as either “Respectful” or “Not Respectful” and will come to understand that each person has a unique perspective. 

Lesson 8 - Integrity - In this lesson, students will learn the meaning of integrity and how it is a part of trustworthiness. They will learn that trying to place themselves in the shoes of another can help them make good choices.

Character Value: Relationship Skills 

Lesson 9 - Having a Positive Attitude -In this lesson, students will understand that attitude is a personal choice and that having a positive attitude leads to higher self-esteem and a healthier and more successful life.  

Lesson 10 - Being Responsible - In this lesson, students will learn that demonstrating responsibility builds trust. They will explore strategies to help them be more responsible and learn that there are consequences for neglecting responsibilities.  

Lesson 11 - Becoming a Good Friend - In this lesson, students will learn the qualities of a good friend and will learn how to be a good friend. Students will practice encouragement and friendly behavior with their classmates.
