Support Services
The counseling program offers a range of services to meet the needs of students and families.
- Individual counseling — One-on-one support for students experiencing social, emotional, or personal challenges that may be affecting their learning. Parent or guardian permission is required.
- Group counseling — Small group support for students who share common concerns, such as friendship challenges, coping skills, or problem-solving. Parent or guardian permission is required.
- Crisis counseling — Immediate support for students and families facing traumatic situations. The counselor can connect families with community organizations that address concerns such as anxiety, depression, family difficulties, and safety.
- Classroom guidance — The counselor works alongside teachers to support positive classroom environments and help students engage successfully with learning.
- Restorative practices — Counseling processes that proactively build relationships and community, and help restore connections when conflict has occurred.
- Collaboration and referrals — The counselor consults with parents, staff, and community agencies to find the right resources for students and families when additional support is needed.
